What if you started now?

What if you started now? 

What if you just got up from that chair (sofa,bed) and did:

1. An Ear Pull 

2. A Psoas Release

3. A Guided Body Awareness Meditation

4. a random video in your Free Self Care Self Love Mini Series? 

If you're reading this, chances are you're killing time. And you probably have an extra 5-10 minutes, to do one of these great things for yourself, instead of mindlessly checking your email...trolling facebook....swiping left or right on tinder/bumble/match....

I mean, why not? 

What's the worse that can happen? 

I mean. I know this is a radical idea and all. But sometimes, we get caught up in needing to create this HUGE event for taking care of ourselves. Like..putting on our "stretching clothes". Or, "setting up the room" or playing just the right music (that you then spend 30 minutes browsing on pandora for...) . or making sure you have an hour to spare because suddenly in our minds we decided we have to make it a big thing. Or maybe you need to eat first. Or clean the house first, cook, take the kids to practice, egt groceries, do laundry, do your homework, work on your computer. . . etc. etc. . .

But. . . what if we didn't? 

What if we just....did one thing? for  5 minutes? now? 

If you are anything like me, it can be very easy to put LOTS of OTHER things in front of taking care of myself. There is like this little hurdle to actually sitting down and helping myself feel better. It's like if I did something for me before I get all that OTHER stuff done, somehow it wont work, or I will feel guilty...or I wont deserve to feel good until all those things are done. 

Well. Here's a reality check. Those things are always there. (Unless you figured out how to stop cleaning your kitchen or going grocery shopping, because you might have a SharkTank idea right there!) So. You might as well take 5 minutes now to chill out, so you could maybe....just maybe....do those things feeling a little better. a little more centered and grounded. a little happier. Who cares if it takes a little longer? (Unless you are on Supermarket Sweep. . . then pedal to the metal, baby!)
